A Cat Among The Pigeons is an exhibition featuring images of cats and birds that are free, feral or domesticated in landscape, interiors, gardens and captivity.
These works will include paintings, drawings, printmaking and sculpture by local and internationally acclaimed artists. Many have been associated with the gallery for many years and some are exhibiting work here for the first time.
Lyn Cook’s exquisitely detailed small paintings are rendered in watercolour and gouache and will contrast with new hand painted linocuts by Vida Pearson that exhibit strong bold form.
Dean Bowen’s large bronze cat will be a feature of this show, while Robyn Carters tiny beautifully hand-painted birds in clay will require closer scrutiny.
The gallery nursery has extended with a blend of native, exotic and that unusual “special find”.
Possum Gully Gallery spring exhibition will open on Saturday, November 3 at 11am with the Maryborough Big Band, wine and nibbles.
